Public-sector projects often bring together technical expertise, government priorities, community perspectives, and people who experience the results firsthand.
The Bridge Between Advisory was created to work in that space between project teams and the people they serve.
Our role is not to replace the technical experts. It is to strengthen the public-facing side of the work through thoughtful engagement, clear communication, meaningful public input, and participation that helps project teams better understand the communities affected by their decisions.
Meet Oliver Amaya
Oliver Amaya is the Founder and Principal Advisor of The Bridge Between Advisory. His career spans military service, local government leadership, and national municipal consulting, giving him experience working across organizations, communities, and complex stakeholder environments.
Oliver served 15 years in the U.S. Army, including Special Operations Civil Affairs, where understanding people, local conditions, institutions, and competing perspectives was central to the work. He later brought that experience into local government, leading projects and operations within a municipal environment before moving into consulting with public agencies across the country.
His consulting and public-sector work has included public involvement, stakeholder interviews, focus groups, public meetings, surveys, facilitation, multilingual outreach, and community-facing planning efforts.
Today, that experience shapes TBB's approach: understand the project, understand the people affected by it, and help create practical ways for the two to connect.
